Our Guild Quilt

We created this quilt in 2005.  Each block is a "Sun Bonnet Sue" representation of each member.  New members are asked to create a block to add to our quilt.  We plan to make panels to hang along side the original quilt.
Individually we are quilters; together we are The Country Piecemakers'!

President's Gavel

The President's Gavel was created by Deane Cox, a member of the Arts and Crafts Guild of Goochland.  It will be passed from President to President over the years.

Bonnie is the 2014
Block of the Month Queen

2014 Block of the Month
The Block of the Month for 2014 will be done as lotto blocks rather than blocks to go into a complete quilt.  Each month a new block design will be presented.  Members can make as many blocks as they want of the pattern.  Those completed blocks will be brought to the next meeting.  Members will be given a lottery ticket for each block that they bring in.  A drawing will be then done from those distributed tickets and the blocks will be given to the winner of the drawing.  This will be done each month for the year.

Our Mission

Our Guild was organized February 2003 to serve Powhatan, Amelia, Goochland, Cumberland, Cartersville, Chesterfield, Buckingham, and surrounding counties.

Our mission is to preserve quilt history and expand quilt knowledge and techniques for both quilters and non quilters alike.
